FOTR this week is NY homie DJ Wonder. Sure Halloween just ended and we’re on into November now, but Wonder laced this year’s season with a crazy Halloween mix worth sharing. His 2016 mix via his Animal Status project is a fierce and spooky 2 hours loaded with heat from the likes of Gravediggaz, Necro, Prince Paul, Ice Cube, TRU, DMX, Van Halen and of course, Michael Jackson. He’s rocked at The Rub many many times over the years and is the homie stromie, so we’ve had the chance to call out DJ mOma as a FOTR more than a couple times already. (Like here and here.)
In case you don’t already know, his Everyday People party is one of the best parties in NYC and regularly hits the road all over the U.S. Along with Eli Escobar, another long-time FOTR, Mo has a years long residency at Le Bain called Dance Dance Dance and he regularly fills in for ?uestlove at his Bowl Train party at Brooklyn Bowl.
A great dude, an always inspiring party rocker, and a true music head. You can be guaranteed mOma’s going to murder The Annual Rub Halloween party this Saturday!

TNN this week is here and in full effect. As always, interesting tunes dropping everywhere and we’ve got just 3 of them selected here for your listening enjoyment. First up is a dope new one from 2 Chainz with Quavo and Gucci Mane. The minimal piano loop from Mike Dean set all 3 of these dudes up to go off. Next up is D.R.A.M., who’s been a staple in this space lately, and his collab with Young Thug. This joint is predictably unpredictable. Finally, we’ve got an Alex Clare sighting. The U.K. singer has been quiet for a while and he’s back with his first new music in a couple years. Check out all 3 in full below.

FOTR this week is Jubilee. She’s one of our favorite people in NY and no stranger to FOTR as she’s graced this section a number of times before. This week in particular sees the drop of her debut LP on Mixpak. As something she’s been working on for some time, (check the interview with The Fader she did for some perspective) the album is finally complete and ready to be shared with the world on 10/21 via all your favorite streaming and purchase sites. We’re super proud of our friend and you should check for the album when it drops. The first single from the project is below. Check it out as well as her links and socials to stay in the loop with all things Jubilee.

TNN sliding through this week with some great new music, including a couple of music videos accompanying these tunes. First up, we’ve got Solange and her “Cranes In The Sky” video. Definitely a favorite from her solid new album and this video is stunning. Next, we have a new on from Pusha T with Mike Will Made It on the beat. Definitely for the rap lovers out there as Pusha is just all about bars here. Finally, we see an interesting collab from RiFF RAFF and Skepta. Sounds a bit weird in theory but the execution is on point. Check out all 3 in full below.

Welcome to the 2nd full week of October as we keep it moving right along with TNN. It was a little bit quieter on the big name releases this past week but there was still a lot of high quality music dropping left and right. First up is a new leak from Baauer, who’s already released his debut LP in 2016 and cemented himself as a nu school producer extraordinaire. He seems to be gearing up to drop more material as this is the 2nd new joint he’s shared in recent weeks. Next is an official sign that the Spotify and Apple Music worlds are about to drastically change with the content they host. DJ Jazzy Jeff has uploaded an unofficial remix of Anderson .Paak’s “Room In Here” and Spotify is letting this thing live on it’s site (THIS IS HUGE). Plus the remix is smooth as silk. Finally, we’ve got a new one from Indiana’s Flaco. We shared one of his tunes over the summer and this dude proves again how dexterous he his with the flows. You can check out all 3 in full below.
