As we’ve been developing this weekly column into something that covers multiple releases from multiple artists, an album from Dr. Dre just so happened to drop last Friday. And since it’s been 16 years since his last full length release and his first 2 are generally recognized as classics in the history of rap…it only makes sense that Compton got fully digested over here in a hurry. And while the jury is generally out that this is his worst album of the three, there’s definitely a ton of heatrocks on here and the production across the board is top notch.
