1 of our FOTR this week is Phi Unit, one of our guests this month for The Rub. Phi has been in BK for a grip now and has certainly made his mark as a DJ and producer. His “So Emotional” mixtape and remix series with other FOTR Cousin Cole is kinda legendary at this point, with their midtempo and tropical flavored flips of vibey love induced cuts. What’s really kept him busy and spreading his wings in recent years is his Building Beats program, which brings music and DJ programs to schools and underprivileged youth.
