FOTR: Fool’s Gold

FOTR this week is the team that is Fool’s Gold Records. Founded by A-Trak, Nick Catchdubs and Dust La Rock (RIP) in 2007, they’ve branded themselves as a true innovator and tastemaker in terms of the music they release and how they present themselves as an entity in the music business. They’ve always been super supportive of The Rub and we consider them family for it. This coming Saturday is Fool’s Gold Day Off NYC at the Coney Art Walls and features a crazy lineup of acts like Jay Electronica, Flosstradamus, boss man A-Trak, PNB Rock, recently added Trippie Redd and many others. Tickets can still be copped right HERE. Don’t miss it!

They’ve always been super supportive of The Rub and we sincerely love them for it. This past Friday they released a massive new compilation, Night Shift, that’s bursting with new dancefloor focused heaters from label heads A-Trak and Catchdubs, as well as other notables like Sammy Bananas, Brenmar, Gladiator, Rome Fortune, Alvin Risk, and many more. Peep Night Shift in full below and make sure to link up with Fool’s Gold on the socials if you haven’t already.

If you know anything about The Rub, you already know we go way back with Nick Catchdubs. Whether it’s his graphic design chops, his DJ sets, his Fool’s Gold crew, or his production work… Nick is that dude.  Here is the lead single, “Wuts That” featuring B.I.C., off of his upcoming Smoke Machine album, which is due to drop April 28th. The tune and the video are both a lot of fun.  You can cop the single here and get prepped for that debut full length coming soon.
